2012 Southern Cross Stakes Form Guide

Secret Admirer

First up since running third in the Emirates last year, has run over this journey once before and claimed a win for effort.

Has the speed to lead but has never won first up from five attempts. Two from five at Rosehill though may give hope.

Triple Elegance

Promised so much early on but the last season or so has fallen away a touch. The stat you need to know though is that he’s won five times from nine goes at Rosehill, the other four he finished third.

This is just the start for Yosei, she’s looking for more ground and will get it in the coming weeks.

No Evidence Needed

Hasn’t run since finishing fourth behind Black, Caviar, Hay List and Buffering in the BTC Cup, nothing of that note here so she’s in with a shot.

Kiwi convert is one from one at Rosehill and can run well first up, distance is a little short than ideal though.

Snow Alert

Another that needs a touch more ground but isn’t completely out of it. First up record is poor though so there’s another problem.

Latin News

Third in the Magic Millions Cup not too far off the pace so with that form he’ll feature prominently here.

Beijing Boy

Another that’s been out of action since the winter however he boasts a win and three minors from four first up runs, never tackled this trip though as he’s suited to a mile plus.

Three seconds from seven goes at this trip, three seconds from six goes first up. Poor track record keeps him as a place chance at best.
